Fourteen weeks of guided practice auditing educational institution finances inside our financial auditing app—fund maps, sampling, findings, and board narratives.
Learning outcomes
- Build a fund-aware risk map for tuition, grants, and auxiliaries
- Configure sampling plans inside the auditing app with documented rationale
- Draft findings that separate control gaps from timing noise
- Produce a board packet narrative that cites evidence without drowning trustees in tables

- Week 1–2 · Chart literacyRead restricted vs unrestricted funds and map them to app tags.
- Week 3–5 · Evidence queuesAttach support, flag missing invoices, and track management responses.
- Week 6–9 · Sampling studioDesign risk tables and run two live sample pulls with peer critique.
- Week 10–12 · Findings craftWrite, revise, and defend exception language with instructors.
- Week 13–14 · Board narrativeCompress the cycle into a trustee-facing update and optional mentor hour.

Former university deputy controller with fifteen years closing books across research and teaching campuses. Helen designs the app scenarios used in this cohort and still reviews a sample of every learner’s final narrative.

FAQ
Do I need prior audit experience?
You should already understand basic double-entry bookkeeping. Soft skills coaching alone will not replace that foundation.
Is the financial auditing app included?
Cohort seats include sandbox access for the duration of the course. Ongoing production licenses are separate and discussed after enrollment.
What is a real limitation of this course?
We do not teach statutory tax filing for educational institutions. If your primary need is tax compliance rather than internal audit workflows, this program will feel incomplete.
Can my whole office join one cohort?
